Record Store Day & Black Friday Wishlist Guide
Build a separate game plan for each Record Store Day event, carry it on your phone, and keep a useful history after the bins have been picked through.
1. Choose the right event
Start in the Catalog and choose the event you are planning for. Record Store Day and RSD Black Friday are distinct events, so releases and wishlist items stay attached to the correct dated list.
The current event opens by default. You can change the event selector to browse a published past catalog at any time.
2. Sign in, save releases, and set priorities
Catalog browsing is public. Sign in when you are ready to add releases, sync the list across devices, and use sharing.
Tap the heart on a release, then use High, Medium, or Low priority—or a manual order—to put the hard-to-find essentials ahead of the nice-to-haves.
3. Use the list in the store
Open your wishlist on your phone and start RSD Day Mode for a focused, one-release-at-a-time view. Choose Got it when you find a copy. The release moves from Still hunting to Scored and remains part of that event list.
You can undo a score or reset the Scored group later. These controls track your personal results only; they do not change store inventory.
4. Revisit or share an event list
Your wishlist event selector includes available past events, so you can review what you wanted and what you scored without mixing it into the next event.
Sharing is optional and off by default. The Share control creates a read-only link for the event you are viewing. Disable, revoke, or replace that link whenever you want.
5. Confirm plans with a participating store
Use the Stores page to search the directory for the event you selected. Participation and verification dates are event-specific.
A directory entry does not guarantee that a store has every release—or any particular quantity. Check directly with the shop for hours, line rules, and availability.
6. Control your account and data
You can remove individual wishlist items whenever you like. To delete everything, sign in, open the account menu, and choose Delete Account in the Danger Zone. Confirmation permanently removes the account, wishlist items, notes, and profile data.
